A graduate of the Aveda Institute Orlando (Class of 2010), Alex brings a diverse range of skills and a creative, intuitive approach to every service. With a foundation in Aveda’s holistic philosophy and over a decade of experience, his work seamlessly blends precision, artistry, and personal style.
Born and raised in New York, Alex draws inspiration from everywhere—travel, music, culture, and the city itself—infusing each haircut and color with a fresh, modern perspective. Whether you’re looking for a subtle refresh or a bold transformation, Alex’s fearless, detail-driven approach ensures you leave the chair feeling confident and completely yourself.

Eleanor Wallace
Guest Care Manager
A proud native of the Lower East Side, Eleanor brings both heart and professionalism to the front desk at Clove Hair Salon. Currently pursuing a degree in nursing, she also holds a strong background in health and wellness administration, making her especially attuned to creating a calm, supportive, and guest-centered environment.
Eleanor’s warm presence and attention to detail ensure that every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and right at home from the moment they walk through the door. Whether she’s coordinating appointments or simply sharing a kind word, she plays an essential role in making the Clove experience truly exceptional.
Michelle Marslow
Colorist
With a career spanning almost 3 decades, Michelle has traveled and worked in upscale salons in SF, Seattle, SC, HI, and New York City, where she has called home since 2010.
During her career, she has worked behind the scenes on films, editorial photo shoots, fashion shows-furthering her training in London, Milan, and Berlin. Stateside- she traveled throughout the northeast providing advanced education for Aveda salons as an Aveda Color Purefessional for 10 years.
She has spent the last decade honing her skills as a color specialist under the creator of the Aveda Color line, and currently prides herself on creating beautiful, refined, natural color specific for each individual and their own personal beauty.

Leah Huband
Assistant
Originally from North Carolina, Leah brings a warm, down-to-earth charm that instantly makes you feel at home. As one of the newest additions to the Clove team, she is eager to grow her craft in the heart of New York City, refining her skills alongside a team of seasoned professionals with decades of cumulative Aveda experience.
Leah is currently advancing through Clove’s comprehensive education program, where she’s gaining hands-on experience in both technical excellence and Aveda’s holistic approach to beauty. With her genuine spirit and passion for learning, Leah is well on her way to becoming a trusted stylist—and your new favorite go-to.
Giovanna Berardi
Stylist / Make-up Artist/ Owner
Originally from New York, Giovanna founded Clove Hair Salon in 2020 with a vision to create a warm, community-rooted space where craft and connection come together.
A graduate of the Aveda Institute SoHo (2008), Giovanna has spent the past 17 years honing her skills in the East Village. Her passion for continued education and dedication to detail are the cornerstones of her work. She specializes in soft, sustainable, lived-in hair color that’s thoughtfully tailored to each guest’s lifestyle and personality.
Giovanna’s approach blends classic shapes with a modern edge, resulting in styles that grow out beautifully and effortlessly. Her warm, welcoming energy has made her a favorite among neighborhood regulars and first-time visitors alike. She believes that great hair is not just about how it looks, but how it makes you feel—and her goal is to ensure every guest leaves feeling confident, seen, and truly themselves.
